Worldwide skywatchers have had incredible views of the Supermoon this month as the moon looks bigger and lighter. Photography enthusiasts have immortalized the phenomenon that is now making waves on the internet.
According to BBC, The phenomenon happens as the celestial satellite is positioned on the opposite side of the Earth to the sun and approaches its nearest point-known as the perigee.
The supermoon of this month – the third and last of the year – is known in Spring as Flower Moon.
